Atlas Ichor Bi-Wire Speaker Cable

Atlas Ichor Bi-Wire Speaker Cable

Product Information:
The Atlas Hyper cables offer unbeatable value. Unheard of is a PTFE dielectric and 6N pure (99.9999%) OFC conductors at the prices of these cables. Indeed the Hyper is almost certainly one of the finest Hi Fi performance bargains today.

The Hyper cables arrive in sizes of 1.5sq mm, 2.0 sq mm, 3.0 sq mm and Bi Wire. Choose the 1.25 where bass isn't a priority or for rear speakers in a 5.1 system for example. Choose the Hyper 2.0 or 3.0 for increased bass and the Bi Wire for improved high frequency information in a bi wire speaker system.

The Atlas Hyper cables share many similarities with the more advanced Ascent models. The Hyper cables are smooth and refined allowing for continuous listening over a prolonged period without causing listener fatigue.

Features:
Low frequency carrier: 2.0 sq mm 99.9997% OCC copper concentric rope lay stranded conductors
High frequency carrier: 1.20 sq mm solid OCC copper conductors
Ultra low loss Teflon dielectrics
Cotton yarn filler to reduce microphony
Laid in a twisted fashion to avoid the adverse effects of EMI and provide improved resistance to the proximity effect
Flexible PVC outer sheath
Outer Diameter: 8.0 mm
Colour: Gloss black
Tecnical Data:
Resistance (Ohms/m @ 20°C) : 0.0060
Capacitance (pF/m) : 163.98
Inductance (µH/m @ 1 kHz) : 0.230

Atlas Bi Wire cables are technically advanced. That’s because they use conductors of different sizes that are matched for their characteristics. The H.F. (high frequency) signal is sent down a pair of solid conductors. That’s because the occupation area for the high frequency signal is greater in a solid conductor than it is in a stranded conductor therefore the solid conductor is able to extend the high frequency signal upwards into improved smear free treble.

The bass conductor is a multi stranded design in order to introduce a greater cross section of metal. That’s because the L.F. (low frequency) signal occupies the centre of the conductor. It follows larger conductors are able to extend the low frequency signal into improved bass.

Atlas bi wire cables are better by design.
