The Atlas Navigator uses OCC for both the going and the
return conductors and employs a PTFE dielectric together with
a cotton yarn filler in order to reduce microphony. 100% rejection
of radio frequency interference (RFI) is provided by an OCC
braid and a copper mylar shield. The Navigator is a superior
design that may be used for fully balanced systems with XLR
plugs or as in the case of this cable, in a pseudo balanced
fashion. The Navigator together with the Atlas Voyager and
the Atlas Compass are the first three interconnects in the
range of Atlas super interconnects for high quality systems.
The Voyager tends to give a lively performance whilst the
Navigator sounds a little more analogue like in it's presentation,
giving lots of stereo width, height and depth. For those looking
for a sophisticated and relaxed sound that replicates an ambience,
the Navigator is the interconnect to buy.
Try the Navigator together with the following speaker cables:
Atlas Ascent 2.0, Atlas Ascent 3.50 or for bi wiring, the
Atlas Ichor.
